You think it's possible...

...for *poof! and your blog is moved and everything is set up the way it's supposed to be and I can blog and not worry about anything!* to happen? (sigh) I thought not.

What's up with yahoo mail today?

I keep sending things to people with yahoo email addies and they are bouncing. This sucks!

The adventures of Lil Ed and Lil Antonio

Posted at blogging.la So Steve Hymon, a reporter at the LA Times, is in the midst of a very unscientific (but interesting) experiment to see if two goldfish can live in water from the L.A. River. Well guess what? It turns out they can! Little Ed (named for Councilman Ed Reyes, river project supporter) and Little Antonio (named for Mr. Mayor himself) have been living in a tank of L.A. River water for about a month, as well on a webcam at latimes.com/goldfishcam (the webcam will be on until for the next couple of days, anyway). According to the LA Times site:

Little Antonio has developed black splotches, but appears to be faring well; we think it had to do with a chemical imbalance in the tank. The experiment, not surprisingly, has brought an array of responses from readers, ranging from high praise to this being the single stupidest thing ever to be published in The Times. Then there was this gloomy note from one reader: "Just like you and me, Little Antonio and Little Ed aren't getting out of this alive." After the goldfish cam is turned off, Little Ed and Little Antonio will continue to live in river water in their aquarium, but we'll mitigate for some of the unique problems. We'll try to give the fish a good life in exchange for being good sports.

Forgetful me.

What's wrong with me? I was up early getting ready for the day, but when it came time to leave for work, I left my purse (including wallet and drivers license), cell phone phone, and memory stick at home. Good thing my head is attached to my body, otherwise I'd probably have left that behind, too. Also, I'm down another point in the saga of me versus the L.A. Parking Authority... I got a $25 ticket last night for having expired tags. My registration is all paid up and current... guess who has been carrying around the registration and new tag in her purse for the last month and a half? Sheesh.

In Exile

It has been more than 10 days since my last post on jozjozjoz.com, making this my longest absence from blogging since I started my blog. So if you find this, booya to you! Here's a collection of links I wanted to compile for myself in my search for a new host, since I'm finally leaving iPowerweb and their CCC rating on the BBB behind me: MEDIA TEMPLE I heard MediaTemple was good; they have a AA rating with the Better Business Bureau, but there are these accounts of poor service: -Amazon Review of MediaTemple -Danny Choo: MediaTemple is a pile of steaming turd -The WatchMaker Project HOSTMYSITE -Hearing ok things about HostMySite.com... more research to be done... NO WAY, JOSE! -I know I am not going with 1dollarhosting/Webcountry... they have an F with the BBB! Got any suggestions for me? UPDATE: Lomara suggested Dreamhost, which I'd also heard of... turns out Dreamhost has an F with the BBB. Eeek! Carly suggested Hosting Matters and they only have a couple of complaints at the BBB. So there's one I could probably do more research on.
